Maybe It’s Time For a Change?

Published 6 months ago • 2 min read

Hi Reader,

Today I want to talk about change.

Have you ever thought about making some serious changes in your business? Do you feel that the niche you’re in is becoming somewhat flooded? Are you afraid that AI will take over your niche, where you, despite being in business for a long time, will vanish? Have you seen a drop in your sales this year, even though you’re always creating new, great content?

Maybe these are all individual signs that it’s time to make some changes. They could be the seeds of opportunity, waiting for you to plant and nurture them.

We all know that even if you can start an online business for free (just use free trials of websites and software), in order for your business to grow, you need to invest both time and money. Sometimes it’s just small investments, sometimes it’s much bigger ones.

Six days ago, I made a leap. I acquired Sheila's shop. She’s closing it on 31.12.23, and I just ❤️ her detailed printables, so I couldn’t let that opportunity pass. Why? Because seizing the right opportunities propels us forward. In this case, purchasing her entire store comes with an invaluable Master Resale Rights (MRR) license, opening doors to higher pricing and broader horizons. I’ll still be changing the products though, because I don’t want to compete directly with others who also buy her products.

My trusty laptop, only running on goodwill these days, finally has given in to the demands of my work, so I’ve also bought myself a new one. Mine is too overloaded by my work, and having more than 8 tabs open at any time is a challenge for it. And I need to be able to do that. So it’s not just as a convenience but as a strategic move for efficiency.

The beauty of these investments? They're not just expenses; they're deductions come tax season. And they're also about making smart choices that not only benefit my present but also position me favorably for the future.

Change, however, isn't a one-size-fits-all concept. It comes in various forms, and sometimes it knocks on your door unexpectedly. The key is to recognize it, embrace it, and make it work for you. After all, we are the architects of our own destinies. I don't claim divine intervention, but I firmly believe in a force larger than ourselves — an energy that, when harnessed, can propel us toward greatness.

And let's talk about belief. Not just in a higher power, but in ourselves. The Universe might have its plans, but we have the power to shape our own lives. If we can dream it, we can achieve it.

I'm not talking about fate or the circumstances of our birth; I'm talking about the choices we make as adults. We can't wait for a savior; we must be the heroes in our own lives.

While you’ve read all the above, I’m sure you’ve had some thoughts floating in your mind, maybe even a new idea popped up.

Great!

Start writing them down, and wait for my next email, as I’ll be telling you more about how you can make them go from dream to reality.

And no, not with a magic wand, but with determination, structure - and a lot of fun!

All the best,

Cecilie

If it's not obvious, I do share affiliate links from time to time, but only for products and people that I do recommend - meaning I've tried the products, or dealt with the people behind the products on a more 1:1 basis. This does not affect the price you pay, but it affects the possibility for me to continue doing what I love - which is helping others - and pay my bills.

Hi Reader, Yes, if you didn't know, that's my goal for 2024 - to create a product that will retire my husband in 2025. No, this is not an image of my husband... The thing is, to make it "fair", not relying on any previous lists, I'm starting from scratch. And I'll be using social media, ads, blog posts - and hopefully affiliates too - to promote it. And I'm not going to promote it to you - or the rest of you on this email list (unless you for some reason see the mention in an ad or by...

Hi Reader, Yes, I love Notion! And after I rebranded this course, I've been playing with Notion, consuming tutorials, and basically, I've been having fun. Now, I want to share some of the results of that fun with you - and I'm doing so with 2 brand new Weekly Planner templates, fully editable of course - and with a commercial license. The templates look almost the same, but one of them has an inbuilt clock, and the other one has an image. One has a "quote of the day" feature installed, while...

Hi Reader, It's here! Yes, this was printed in July last year. But I never received it. So after a lot of back and forth, and to honor my agreement with the contributors (who would receive a hardcopy of the book for free, if they sent me their address), I decided late December to print it with Blurb. Blurb is expensive. The other company was expensive too for hardcovers, but offered a better deal in total, than Blurb, and that's why I went with them. Not the best decision I've made... I've...
