I totally jinxed it... and I feel awful about it...

Hi Reader,

Yesterday morning I had a talk on Zoom with Saira, because she was to hold a webinar - live - at 4 PM UK time. She wasn't feeling very well and had an issue with a link, so I was helping her out.

And then when we were finishing the call, I said something about Murphy's Law, and that at least there wouldn't be any tech issues that afternoon.

.......

Me and my mouth...

.......

Imagine this:

-->> You're supposed to hold a webinar about introverts/extroverts in the business realm, being an introvert yourself.

-->> You're planning on telling people how you've overcome the fear of being visible on camera and how they can too.

-->> Your offer at the end is supposed to be about learning to overcome the fear of seeing and hearing yourself on camera. (It's kind of strange that we can walk on the beach in a bikini, but when we're talking about our products and services - the ones that pay our bills - we're afraid to show up on camera).

All good, right?

Well, not exactly, because "I happened". I, that being Cecilie, jinxed the whole thing.

No webinar tech tools worked, and in the end, it ended up being a Facebook live - without Saira being able to show her face. FB said she had to choose to either show her face or her slides. Oh, the irony of it all.

............

Of course, since I knew the backstory to this, I laughed all through the webinar, seeing the irony of it all unfold, but for Saira, it wasn't quite as fun of course.

But when life gives you lemons, you'll make lemonade as they say.

So I talked to Saira this morning, and said, let's roll with it, let's get people to laugh. The world's such an angry place at the time, let's give people 1.5 hours of pure laughter, while they'll also learn a thing or two about improvising and "getting over themselves".

As for her offer at the end, I already know the details of this, since I've signed up for it. Having worked with Saira last year, I know that she always over-delivers, and I also know that because she knows how the brain works, she implements little "snippets" to reprogram your brain, without you even noticing it. And while I'm somewhat comfortable being on camera now, I can always be/do better, so having her knowledge on tap for a whole month, at that price, it's a steal!

..........

Her offer aside, if you're up for a laugh, if you want to feel like having a 1:1 session with Saira, without her being salesy, and with her actually blaming ME and Murphy for the hiccups, live on the webinar, then watch the replay here.

All the best,

Cecilie

If it's not obvious, I do share affiliate links from time to time, but only for products and people that I do recommend - meaning I've tried the products, or dealt with the people behind the products on a more 1:1 basis. This does not affect the price you pay, but it affects the possibility for me to continue doing what I love - which is helping others - and pay my bills.

Hi Reader, Yes, if you didn't know, that's my goal for 2024 - to create a product that will retire my husband in 2025. No, this is not an image of my husband... The thing is, to make it "fair", not relying on any previous lists, I'm starting from scratch. And I'll be using social media, ads, blog posts - and hopefully affiliates too - to promote it. And I'm not going to promote it to you - or the rest of you on this email list (unless you for some reason see the mention in an ad or by...

Hi Reader, Yes, I love Notion! And after I rebranded this course, I've been playing with Notion, consuming tutorials, and basically, I've been having fun. Now, I want to share some of the results of that fun with you - and I'm doing so with 2 brand new Weekly Planner templates, fully editable of course - and with a commercial license. The templates look almost the same, but one of them has an inbuilt clock, and the other one has an image. One has a "quote of the day" feature installed, while...

Hi Reader, It's here! Yes, this was printed in July last year. But I never received it. So after a lot of back and forth, and to honor my agreement with the contributors (who would receive a hardcopy of the book for free, if they sent me their address), I decided late December to print it with Blurb. Blurb is expensive. The other company was expensive too for hardcovers, but offered a better deal in total, than Blurb, and that's why I went with them. Not the best decision I've made... I've...
